What a pleasant surprise it was to come into this place and have excellent service after the last place I had visited. Our server, Jen, was very friendly and informative. She offered a variety of choices and told us of weekly events. We plan to come back tomorrow for trivia night!
...aaand we did! After another delightful evening, we nearly got 1st place but ended up with 3rd place in trivia. So that meant another visit before we went home Alabama to redeem our voucher -

This terrific little taproom and pizza joint in downtown Asheville has an outstanding beer selection, with more than 50 beers on tap and dozens more in bottles and cans. You'll find great brews from almost every corner of North Carolina, and many more from around the U.S. and Europe, with unique selections from microbreweries way off the map.
The food is underwhelming but decent, with a wide selection of pizzas, burgers, sandwiches and salads. The Meat-Eater pie I shared with a friend was tasty, and paired well with the local craft brew I enjoyed over lunch. Barley's is a great spot to grab some grub while exploring Asheville's vibrant brewery scene. -

We wandered in here for dinner before going to the airport. It was kind of quiet in there when we sat down but it quickly filled up! Our server was amazing, super laid back and he tackled a huge section of tables without a care in the world. We all stopped to watch him because he was so casual even though he had a larger section than most servers would be able to handle. Anyway, we got the Fiddlesticks as an app, I was a little hesitant to try one at first but they were SO good! They're kind of like a small breadstick but sticky, sweet and slightly spicy! Their menu consists of your typical Italian cuisine, pizza, pasta, calzones, etc. Our table of five ordered a variety of dishes and we were all satisfied. Next time you are wandering around in downtown Asheville and craving Italian, stop in to this place and give it a try.

Had a very friendly server here. When I ordered a $11.00 house burger and said I'd like it medium rare, he said, "Just so you know, I can write that down here, but you are gonna get what you get." Appreciated his honesty, but I really wanted a burger so thought I'd go for it. Sure enough, it arrives well done and dry.
Hey Barley kitchen - this is complete BS. I know $11 for a burger is not super high-end, but it's enough money to expect it to be cooked to order.
Skip this place. They take their business for granted. -

Great atmosphere and service! Huge beer menu with a ton of specialty brews. Sitting in the front window it's enjoyable to watch people go by.
The garlic knots were very good covered with mozzarella. The pizza is fantastic, the sour dough crust is especially good - thin and crispy ... well done! Generous sized side salad, with super fresh greens.
Fantastic service - we will definitely be back!
